A long time ago. A crab picked up a rice ball that looked delicious.
Along came a monkey.
“I picked up an even better thing.” “A better thing?”
“A persimmon seed. If you plant it in the ground, it will grow persimmons.
Say, how about exchanging it for your rice ball?”
“Sure.” The crab exchanged his rice ball for the persimmon seed.
The persimmon seed began to sprout.
It grew bigger and bigger and produced a lot of sweet persimmons.
The crab was delighted. “Let me get and eat them.”
Just then the monkey came along.
“I will climb the tree and get one for you.” “Yes, please.”
The monkey is good at climbing trees. He climbed the tree easily.
“Yummy. It’s sweet and soft.” “Hey, Mr. Monkey. Please throw me one.”
“Nuts. This green hard one is for you! There it goes!”
Bang! The crab was squashed and died.
Then, many baby crabs appeared from the crab's shell.
The baby crabs headed for the monkey’s house in revenge for their parent.
Then, “Where are you crabs all going?”
“Hello, Mr. Chestnut. We are going to seek revenge on the monkey.”
“I will join you then.”
They all went on.
“Where are you crabs all going?”
“Hello, Mr. Cow Pat. We are going to seek revenge on the monkey.”
“I will join you then.”
They all went further.
“Where are you crabs all going?”
“Hello, Mr. Stone Mortar. We are going to seek revengeon the monkey.”
“I will join you then.”
Mr. Chestnut, Mr. Cow Pat, and Mr. Stone Mortar joined the baby crabs.
They all reached the monkey’s house. The monkey was not at home.
They decided to wait for the monkey to return.
Mr. Chestnut dived into the ash of the fireplace.
The baby crabs hid in the water tub. Mr. Cow Pat sat heavily in front of the doorway.
Mr. Stone Mortar went above the doorway.
There was a noise. The monkey had returned home.
“How cold it is! Let me quickly get warm at the fireplace.”
"Bang!" Mr. Chestnut, who had been heated at the fireplace, jumped over the monkey’s bottom.
“How hot!! I must cool down my bottom.”
The monkey dived into the water of the tub.
"Splash!" "Snip-snap" The baby crabs, who had been hiding inside the tub, started to snap the monkey’s body.
″Ouch!″ The monkey hurried to escape from the doorway.
"Slipping" At that moment, the monkey stepped on Mr. Cow Pat , and fell plop.
“Go, Now!”
From above the doorway, Mr. Stone Mortar jumped down on the monkey.
The monkey was hit and squashed flat by Mr. Stone Mortar.
